Questions to Ask Your Gutter Contractor

1. Are you licensed, bonded, and insured? If so, may I verify the current status?
2. What is your legal business name and address?
3. How long have you been in business?
4. Are you an accredited business with the BBB? If so, what is your company’s rating?
5. Is your business local?
6. What forms of payment do you accept?
7. Do you offer any financing?
8. Why do you think my gutters or gutter guards need to be replaced?
9. What size gutters do I need and why? What type of gutter guard do I need and why?
10. Do you install custom made seamless gutters? What style gutters do you install?
11. Do you provide a written estimate that details the work to be performed?
12. Will you provide me with pictures as to what is damaged on my gutters and what needs to be repaired? If so, how will I receive these images?
13. What does your workmanship warranty cover and for how long? Will you provide me a copy of that?
14. When would you be able to schedule my job?
15. How long will my job take to complete?
16. Who will be, if anyone, on site during the gutter project? If so, may I have their name and number?
17. How quickly can you react and what would you do in the event of inclement weather?
18. What steps do you take to ensure the safety of my property, family, and your workers?
19. What time will the crew arrive and what time do they leave if the job takes more than one day?
20. Are you responsible for any clean-up or damages that may occur while the work is being done?
